Hi there. We don’t like long and boring legal documents either, but if you’re reading this, it means you are probably worried about your online privacy. So are we. There seem to be all sorts of sneaky people out there harvesting your data and doing who knows what with it. We will do our best to keep your data safe, and we have no intention of giving or selling it to other companies, organisations or individuals for nefarious purposes.
We need basic data about you to be able to sell you our lovely furniture, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to process the transaction and deliver it to you. We also like to send updates by email every so often – it’s a really important part of how we market our business. Both of these cases means we need to collect and keep data about you on file.

In the course of offering the e-commerce services, our payment software (Stripe) uses a number of machine learning algorithms and forms of automated decision-making. For example, they use automated decision-making: to prevent risk and fraud by merchants; to help merchants avoid fraudulent transactions from their customers; and to determine eligibility for certain services.
Most of these algorithms are not fully automated and include some human intervention (for example, customer risk information is provided to us and we must intentionally decide how to act on them).
